Opposition Parties Unite to Challenge Federal Government

ISLAMABAD: Opposition political parties in a meeting have taken a united stance to challenge the PML-N-led Federal Government.

In this regard, an important meeting of opposition parties was held in Islamabad, where they agreed to present a united front against the government.

During the meeting, the overall political situation of the country and the opposition’s anti-government movement were discussed in detail.

PKMAP chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and Muhammad Ali Durrani attended the meeting. PTI was represented by Barrister Gohar Ali, Umar Ayub, and Asad Qaiser. Delegations from Jamaat-e-Islami and BNP Mengal also participated.

According to sources familiar with the meeting, the political leadership present also discussed the Terms of Reference (TORs) for adopting a joint strategy among the opposition parties.

The participants agreed to finalize the opposition alliance’s agenda and decided to prepare a focused plan to challenge the government effectively.

Sources further revealed that the attendees concurred that the government has failed to address inflation, unrest, and economic issues. They emphasized that it is time to strengthen the unity of the opposition.

Speaking after the meeting, PTI leader Asad Qaiser stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has also agreed to collaborate. He added that a detailed agenda of the meeting would be released later.
