ISLAMABAD: The 12th National Police Management (NPM) meeting was held with Director General National Police Bureau (NPB) Dr Ejaz Shah Hussain in chair here on Thursday.
Federal Minister for Interior Ejaz Ahmed Shah, heads of police from Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir also attended the meeting. Managing Director National Police Foundation and senior official were also present in the meeting.
According to details, the challenges confronting the police, enhancement of capacity and police reforms come under discussion in the meeting. In the meeting, it was decided that NADRA will provide free of cost data to police for smooth and speedy investigate of the cases.
It was decided, that the police should have same uniform. A high power committee headed by IG Sindh for preparation of working paper had also been constituted.
It was also decided that a central date base should be provided to security forces and to intra provincial police to deal with any confronting the challenges.
In this regard, the meeting has also decided to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Nomination for the brave police official will be made timely.
The meeting also discussed accountability within the department, strong investigation and restructuring of policing within the cities.
Police services structure, salary, parks and privilege, uniform and others benefits also discussed in the meeting.(Additional Input From INP)
