SHEIKHUPURA: As many as 22 persons fainted due to leakage of gas from a cylinder that fell from one of the bogies of a goods train heading from Sheikhupura to Lahore near Pind Ferozewala on Wednesday.
Police officials said that those fainted had been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Ferozewala. However, their condition was stable, they informed.
Giving further details, they said that Carbon Dioxide cylinders were loaded on two bogies of the train.
But due to inadequate arrangements, they added, one of the cylinders fell down from the moving train.
There, the officials added, children of the area opened a regulator of the cylinder which resulted in gas leakage.
Consequently, 22 people, including children, lost their consciousness.
