SWABI: The police arrested 28 suspects and recovered arms during search and strike operations here on Sunday. The police also held 19 people over violation of 10 RBA Act.
In line with directives of DPO Syed Khalid Hamdani, under the supervision of DSP Luqman Khan and headed by SHO Inspector Noor-ul-Amin, heavy contingent of police conducted search and strike operation against criminals in Bam Khel, Jhanda, Baja, Menai, Palodhand, Maneri, Pir Tab and Totalai area of Swabi. Elite Force, RRF squad, BDS squad and district police participated in the operation.
During separate actions, 28 suspects were apprehended with weapons.
Meanwhile, the police along with lady constables checked 45 houses in various localities and arrested 19 over violation of 10 RBA Act.
The detainees were being interrogated after registering separate cases against them at concerned police stations. (INP)
