ISLAMABAD: Third Wave of Coronavirus pandemic has taken worst turn across Pakistan as fatalities and infections are constantly jumping round the country and despite Government appeals people are paying no heed.
During last 24 hours 42 new deaths were reported besides 3,876 people were tested positive to virus, which was highest in a year.

Nationwide infections on Saturday surged to new high during last ine year as 3,876 were tested to coronavirus epidemic besides 42 more deaths were confirmed. With 3,876 new infections reported in the country that took the toll to 623,135 cases and with 40 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 13,799.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 42 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 3,876 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 262,796 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 262,796 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 195,087 in Punjab 78,653 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 50,843 in Islamabad, 19,306 in Balochistan, 11,483 in Azad Kashmir and 4,967 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 13,799 out of that 5,944 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,478 in Sindh, 2,202 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 539 in Islamabad, 330 in Azad Kashmir, 203 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 9,732,033 coronavirus tests and 40,946 in the last 24 hours. 579,760 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,122 patients are in critical condition.
