Sindh CM, Governor apprise PM Imran about provincial affairs

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Imran Ismail during a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday apprised the premier about the provincial affairs.

During the meeting, PM Imran was apprised about the request of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on replacing Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police Kaleem Imam.
The premier was also apprised about the decisions and reservations of the Sindh Cabinet.

Meanwhile, development projects and other important matters are being discussed in the meeting. It is pertinent to mention here that the premier reached Karachi on a day-long visit. Murad Ali Shah and Imran Ismail received him at the airport.

Following his meeting with the governor and the CM, the prime minister is scheduled to meet Pir Pagara at Kingri House.

Importantly, PM Imran Khan will not hold meeting with important ally, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P). The MQM-P has confirmed the reports of not receiving any invitation to meet the prime minister.

Let it be known that MQM-P had expressed the desire that the PM Imran should visit Bahadurabad during his Karachi visit.

Furthermore, Imran Khan will meet the businessmen of Karachi and attend a fund raising programme for Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will also distribute distribute cheques among beneficiaries of subsidised business loans under his government’s Kamyab Jawan Programme – Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme – during his day-long official visit to Karachi.

Imran Ismail, federal ministers and a large number of youths selected under the loan programme have been invited to attend a eremony scheduled to be held at the Governor House.
