ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has witnessed another worst day as 78 more people have lost their lives to coronavirus pandemic during last 24 hours besides 3,938 confirmed infections were reported round the country on Tuesday.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed 78 new deaths and 3,938 confirmed infections during last 24 hours. The overall country-wide death toll surged to 1,621 while the confirmed infections reached to 76,398.
Sindh is still on top as worst hit province by the coronavirus pandemic with 29,647 confirmed cases the highest number along side with 503 fatalities, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan, after crossing the milestone of half a million tests of the coronavirus epidemic has so far conducted 577,974 coronavirus tests out of whivh 16,548 tests were cconducted during last 24 hours. 27,110 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition.
According to latest figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on June 02, Tuesday 9:45am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 76,398 infections. Sindh jumped to 29,647 coronavirus cases followed by Punjab with 27,850 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have crossed 10,000 infections mark by reaching to 10,027, in Balochistan toll surged to 4,514, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 738 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 2,893 and 271 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 1,621 deaths reported in the country. Punjab topped Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in COVID-19 deaths as toll in the province reached to 540 as Sindh remains at number 2 with 503 deaths. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa death toll surged to 482 and the province has shown a little decline in fatalities. Balochistan 49, Gilgit-Baltisan 11, Islamabad Capital Territory 30 and AJK 6.

Face masks are now mandatory to be worn by everybody while in crowded public places, mosques, bazaars, shopping malls, public transport ie road, rail and flights.
