Arts and Crafts Bazar by PNCA on Sunday

ISLAMABAD: “Arts and Crafts Bazar Sunday Ke Sunday” will be held on February 28 at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) Lawn.

PNCA, in a statement said it has been trying to provide a platform to artisans to promote their work through such events. The event is also an opportunity for the public  to get out of COVID-19 stress and enjoy spring with traditional arts and crafts.

Deputy commissioner ICT Hamza Shafqaat will be the chief guest of the event. The bazar will open at 11:00 and would continue till 5:00pm.

Local artisans will exhibit a variety of handmade work in diverse material- including functional and decorative art pieces.

There will also be a contemporary paintings in oil and pastel. Through this event PNCA hopes it will serve as opportunity for for general public to spend holiday, purchase unique gifts at affordable price range. It will also be a one-of-a-kind chance to get to know and observe the local talent.

PNCA has invited general public to see both indigenous crafts and contemporary art at the event. It will serve as a trade fair, which could turn small opportunities into great achievements for the artisans.

PNCA said local artisans and craftsmen will be presenting their creations every Sunday at Arts & Crafts Bazaar.

Paginating, sculpture, calligraphy, ceramics, handmade wearing stuff , accessories and much more will be available at one place.

PNCA said social distancing protocols will be strictly observed and asked the visitors to  wear masks. “Do not miss this unusual opportunity to see and purchase extraordinary handmade crafts and splendid pieces of fine arts” it added.
