ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus third wave has taken highest ever of 201 new deaths across Pakistan during last 24 hours, besides 5,292 people were tested positive to Virus.
Despite the fact that surging deaths and infections by coronavirus, Federal and Provincial governments are taking efforts to impose restrictions of closure of markets and banning commercial activities
Even then no improvement is visible in the worsening situation as during last 24 hours country reported highest ever deaths 201 and 5,393 new cases.
The authorities have reported 201 deaths in last 24 hours while the virus as 5,292 more people were tested positive for the Virus that took the toll to 810,231 cases. During last 24 hours 201 new deaths were reported that took the toll of fatalities to 17,530.
Government has deployed the Army personnel count the country to ensure strict implementation on Coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) and is is looking to impose massive lockdown in big cities with over 13 per cent fatalities percentage,
According to a notification stating that Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Islamabad Capital Territory will (in accordance with their needs) seek the help of the Pakistan Army to strictly implement the coronavirus SOPs. The orders, however, do not apply to Sindh.
On Wednesday morning the country has reported 201 new deaths by COVID-19 pandemic that took the toll of fatalities to 17,530, while 5,292 more people were tested positive taking the tally to 810,231 round the Pakistan.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 201 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 5,292 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Punjab have been declared worst hit province during this month as positivity rate of the province was witnessed over 11 per cent in some parts while the toll of infections reached to 296,144 in the province. Sindh has reported 280,356 overall coronavirus epidemic infections, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
The new cases have taken the national tally of positive cases to 810,231 with 296,144 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 280,356 in Sindh, 115,596 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 21,945 in Balochistan, 74,131 in Islamabad, 16,779 in Azad Kashmir and 5,280 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 17,530 out of that8,224 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,624 in Sindh, 3,201 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 233 in Balochistan, 675 in Islamabad, 468 in Azad Kashmir and 105 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 11,682,014 coronavirus tests and 49,101 in the last 24 hours. 704,494 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,214 patients are in critical condition.
