BERLIN, GERMANY:
Kashmir organisations based in Europe held a protest demonstration against brutalities of Indian forces in the Indian Held Kashmir and jingoistic designs of New Delhi.
Free Kashmir Organization Germany had given call for Saturday’s protest. Led by organization’s chairman Dr. Siddique Kiyani,a large number of people of Kashmiri and Pakistani origin based in EU countries and Germany marched on the streets of Berlin protesting human rights violations by Indian in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with anti-war and pro-Kashmir independence slogs.
Kiyani, the chairman of Free Kashmir Organization Germany, in his speech condemned brutalities being perpetuated by the Indian forces against the Kashmir people in the held territory. He also castigated India for escalating border tensions with Pakistan.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU, Ali Raza Syed in his address vowed that people of Jammu and Kashmir will continue their struggle till they get the right of self-determination promised to them.
He asked the international community, particularly the EU to take notice of grave human rights violation in Indian Held Kashmir.
Syed, who had written letters to different EU dignitaries in order to deescalate the mounting tensions between nuclear armed rivals, said incumbent Indian government wants to hype war hysteria with Pakistan for its political motives.
‘’This protest is an attempt of people of Kashmir to sensitize the German nation about Indian nefarious designs’’ he said
International peace is at stake due to non-resolution of Kashmir dispute in volatile South Asia, he warned.
