ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has recorded a minor decline in positive coronavirus cases and infections as during last 24 hours 5,327 cases were reported as well as 32 people lost their lives.
According to the latest figures appeared on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 5,327 people were tested positive for COVID-19 while 32 deaths were also confirmed.
NCOC reported that with 32 new deaths across the country by novel coronavirus the overall death tally surged to 29,301. While after 5,327 more people were contracted by the virus the overall tally jumped to 1,430,366.
The NCOC in its province-wise COVID-19 update the declared the Punjab the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
NCOC in its figures have shown the overall death toll reached to 29,301 across the country out of which 13,176 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,829 in Sindh 6,002 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 980 in Islamabad, 758 in Azad Kashmir, 368 in Balochistan, and 188 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Giving the overall positive cases across the country the NCOC stated that the toll surged to 1,430,366 out of which 543,170 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 480,421 in Punjab 194,887 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 128,429 in Islamabad, 38,339 in Azad Kashmir 34,417 in Balochistan and 10,703 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 25,073,585 coronavirus tests and 55,202 in the last 24 hours. 1,295,390 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,500 patients are in critical condition.
The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 9.65 per cent.
So far, 104,228,089 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 223,230 in last 24 hours. 80,748,105 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 322,467 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 174,085,175 with 605,450 in the last 24 hours.
