QUETTA: Four policemen were martyred during an exchange of fire with the suspects in Killi Landi area of Kuchlak of Balochistan on Tuesday.
Law enforcers, on a tip-off, conducted a raid against some criminals in Killi Landi area. A gun battle ensued between the cops and suspects in which initially two police officers were martyred.
As per the latest report, four officers have been martyred in the operation which is still under way. The Anti-Terrorist Force personnel are also participating in the operation.
The martyred policemen include Muhammad Javed, Faiz, Ali Akbar and Chingiz. The bodies of the martyrs have been shifted from the Civil Hospital to the Police Lines after post-mortem.
A policeman Fazlur Rehman was also injured in the firing. He has been shifted to the Combined Military Hospital after being administered first aid in the civil hospital.
