Pirzada chairs PHAF meeting to review housing projects progress

Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, presided over a Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) meeting at the ministry to assess ongoing projects and plan future endeavors.

Shahid Hussain, Managing Director of PHAF, briefed Minister Pirzada on departmental operations and progress. He highlighted the successful handover of 24 projects, totaling 6362 apartments/houses to allottees.

Notably, progress on the I-16/3 project, comprising 3200 apartments, was discussed. Approximately 90% of infrastructure development is complete, with physical possession granted to 356 allottees and 35 families already residing in buildings.

Updates on the I-12/1 project, with 2400 apartments, were also provided, with possession granted for 500 units and the remaining units soon to be available. Additionally, details on the PHAF Residencia, Kuchlak Road Project in Quetta, were shared.

Minister Pirzada emphasized the importance of robust tree plantation programs across all PHAF projects for environmental conservation, air quality improvement, and enhancing aesthetics. He stressed the need for maintaining high construction standards and providing basic amenities to residents. Timely project completion was emphasized to ensure modern residential facilities for employees and the public.

Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, Secretary of Housing and Works, and other senior ministry and PHAF officials attended the meeting, highlighting the collaborative efforts towards enhancing housing infrastructure.
