KARACHI: The Anti Human Trafficking Department of FIA Karachi Circle at Jinnha Termkinal of Karachi Airport have offloaded 30 passengers in one day on suspicion of human trafficking.
According to officials, most of the individuals offloaded on single day were believed to be potential victims of trafficking.
Several detainees have been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation.
Abid Ali from Saudi Arabia was flagged as his name appeared on the IBM Stop List. Suleman Riaz, a government employee, was traveling to Saudi Arabia on an employment visa without an NOC.
Saudi-bound passengers Aftab Ahmed, Muhammad Khaleel, Muhammad Riaz, and Ahmed Khan had incomplete documentation. Passenger Muhammad Hassan, en route to Azerbaijan, raised suspicions of Europe-bound human trafficking.
Shaukat was offloaded due to a lack of hotel bookings and travel funds for Oman. Oman-bound Hamza Javed had incomplete documents related to his work visa.
Several Umrah pilgrims, including Iqbal, Imran, Mujahid, and others, were also suspected of being trafficking victims.
Azerbaijan-bound passengers, including Fazal, Hussain, Najaf, and others, were stopped due to travel irregularities.
Babur Khaleel attempted to travel to Oman on a work visa with incomplete paperwork. Dubai-bound Saira Bano failed to provide valid reasons or financial proof for her trip.
Nigerian travelers Daniyal Saqib and Syed Bilal Hussain lacked valid work visas.
Tanzania-bound Sadaf Mustafa and Muhammad Ijaz did not have hotel bookings or travel funds. Saudi visitor Faiz was offloaded for not having travel expenses or accommodation bookings.
Authorities are intensifying efforts to curb human trafficking and ensure passenger compliance with legal travel requirements. Investigations into the detainees were ongoing.
