JUI-F Expels Senator Ahmad Khan for Backing 27th Constitutional Amendment

ISLAMABAD: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) announced on Monday that it has expelled Senator Ahmad Khan from the party for supporting the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill in the Senate. The party stated that Senator Ahmad Khan’s vote in favor of the amendment, which was passed despite strong opposition protests, amounted to a violation of party policy.

In its official statement, the JUI-F directed Senator Ahmad Khan to immediately resign from his Senate seat. The party warned that if he failed to do so, it would approach the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to seek his disqualification.
