LAHORE: Commissioner of Lahore Division Marryam Khan visited Mustafa Abad Town in Kasur to inspect sanitation conditions and review ongoing cleanliness related measures here on Wednesday.
She conducted a detailed walkthrough of streets, intersections and drainage channels to assess the overall sanitary environment. Senior district administration officials and sanitation officers accompanied her during the inspection.
On the occasion, the Commissioner stated that the Chief Minister had made it clear that rural and urban areas must receive equal attention about cleanliness standards.
She directed the district administration and the LWMC to intensify the sanitation operation, launch a strict crackdown against negligence, and clear all vacant private plots while ensuring that their owners fulfil their responsibilities.
She added that clean streets and neighborhoods were the right of every citizen and stressed that no compromise would be tolerated in this regard. In line with her instructions, a dedicated sanitation plan has been prepared, under which the Mustafa Abad area would be cleared and cleaned according to a structured schedule.
