The MoU brings together PSW and GCUL’s Department of Entrepreneurship (DoE GCUL) to provide students with exposure to trade processes, digital trade systems, and business compliance requirements, helping them understand the connection between entrepreneurship, innovation, and participation in local and global markets.

Under the agreement, PSW will provide technical expertise, training, mentorship, and internship opportunities, enabling students to engage with its trade facilitation platforms and gain hands-on experience in import-export processes, regulatory frameworks, digital trade solutions, and emerging trends in sustainable trade.

GCUL will support student participation and work closely with PSW to deliver workshops, seminars, and experiential learning programs, with a strong emphasis on gender-inclusive entrepreneurship and targeted mentorship for women students to help reduce barriers to participation in trade and business.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Aftab Haider, Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Single Window, said, “Pakistan Single Window is committed to empowering future entrepreneurs by simplifying access to trade and providing practical tools that enable businesses to grow beyond borders.

This collaboration with Government College University Lahore allows us to engage students early, build trade awareness, and support the next generation of business leaders with real-world exposure, including an understanding of how sustainability is shaping global trade.”

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor of Government College University Lahore, added, “This partnership reflects GCUL’s focus on meaningful industry engagement that enhances student learning beyond the classroom.

By working closely with Pakistan Single Window, we aim to equip our students with practical knowledge, relevant skills, and exposure to national trade systems that will strengthen their entrepreneurial journey.”

Through this collaboration, Pakistan Single Window continues to support the Digital Pakistan vision by connecting future entrepreneurs with modern trade systems, strengthening trade readiness, and building awareness of sustainable trade practices relevant to global markets.
