Japan invites logo designs for 75th anniversary of Pakistan diplomatic ties

ISLAMABAD: The government of Japan on Monday invited citizens of Japan and Pakistan to participate in a digital logo design competition to mark the 75th Anniversary of Japan-Pakistan Diplomatic Relations.

According to a press release issued by the Embassy of Japan, the competition seeks an original logo that reflects the friendship, partnership and close ties between Japan and Pakistan.

“The winning design will be selected as the official logo for the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Pakistan and will be used for events and activities commemorating the 75th anniversary throughout the year,” the press release read.

It added that participants of any age, residing anywhere in the world, may submit an original logo representing the 75th anniversary.

The deadline for submissions is October 23, 2026. The result is expected to be announced on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) website in late December 2026.

It further said: “Digital logo designs in JPEG, PDF or EPS format must be submitted by email with the subject ‘Logo Entry’ to the Southwest Asian Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, at japanpakistan75@mofa.go.jp, along with a separate explanation of the design of approximately 80 words.”

It is pertinent to mention that the submitted design must be original and previously unpublished and must not infringe upon any third-party copyrights.

Designs containing offensive, unlawful, politically or religiously promotional, culturally or socially insensitive, commercial, or otherwise inappropriate content will be disqualified.

The use of generative AI in logo designs is not permitted.
