Swat: A man was killed by unidentified assailants in Gurra area of Matta tehsil in Swat district on Friday night.
According to police, the victim’s son told authorities that he found his father lying injured and covered in blood outside his home.
Subsequently, the injured person was shifted to Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) hospital Matta; however, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
The deceased was later identified as Umar Zada,47, a resident of Gurra village of Matta tehsil.
After completion of medico-legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to the family for burial.
The police said the family has not nominated anyone in connection with incident.
A case has been registered against unidentified suspects, and an investigation is underway.
