QUETTA: Across the board accountability of corrupt elements without any discrimination is the dire need of hour and any compromise with cast heavily, said Governor Balochistan, Amanullah Khan Yasinzai.
This was stated by him while addressing a seminar held under the auspices of National Accountability Bureau Balochistan in connection with International Anti-Corruption Day in Quetta on Monday.
The Governor said that corruption is the major obstacle in the country’s progress and prosperity and only across the board accountability can held get rid of the menace.
He said that huge embezzlement in utilization of developmental funds was made in the previous regimes which caused backwardness in the province.
Amanullah Yasinzai further said that capabilities of researchers and scholars of the universities should be utilized for eradication of corruption and ensuring good governance.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director General NAB Balochistan said the institution is committed to complete eradication of menace of corruption from the country.
A symbolic walk led by the Governor Amanullah Yasinzai was also organized on the occasion.
