Afghans proved they cannot be suppressed by force: Javed Bangash

INSPAD - The News Today-TNT
ISLAMABAD: Afghans have proved to the world in this decade that they cannot be suppressed by force and attempts to destabilize strong relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been thwarted by conspiracies and fabrications.
This was stated by Javed Khan Bangash, Chief Executive of the Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD), a global think tank dedicated to peace and religious harmony.
Javed Khan Bangash, who is also President of the International Peace Committee and Chairman of the Pakhtun Action Committee, was talking to Hidayat Jan Tanai, a prominent social leader from Afghanistan and president of the Afghanistan Solidarity for Social and Humanity Organization ASSHO here today.
He said that the history of both countries is intertwined with centuries with religious, cultural, traditional social and linguistic values and all the efforts of the United States and India have failed and the Afghan government and policy makers have also started realizing this.
Some politicians have tried to bridge the gap between the two countries on the basis of mere interests and linguistics, which have not worked, he said, adding Afghans are a brave and fighting nation and their kindness cannot be forgotten.
The Pakistani governments and people have stood by the people of Afghanistan in every difficult time, which they are fully aware of, he opined.
Hidayat Jan Tanai said that the process of development in Afghanistan is progressing rapidly and there is a marked change in every sphere of life. Pakistan is not only our neighbor but also a best  neighbor, he added.
It has paid its due to be our big brother in every difficult time since the founding of Afghanistan, which every Afghan is aware of. Afghan people can never forget Pakistan’s benevolence, he continued.
He urged that youth, civil society, media and business community delegations must be exchanged between the two countries.
