MIRPUR: The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has termed religious education a key to intellectual and moral reform in society, saying the state government would continue to provide its fullest possible support to religious and welfare institutions.
He was addressing high level briefing on administrative and financial affairs of the department of Religious Affairs and Auqaf, Zakat and Ushr, Social Welfare and Women Development. He expressed the hope that the Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust would continue to carry out its responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and professionalism.
During the briefing, the prime minister was informed about the religious, educational and reformative activities of the Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust.
It was stated that the Trust was playing an effective role in promoting correct recitation of the Holy Quran, teaching Tajweed, raising religious awareness and fostering moral values.
The prime minister was also apprised of the financial and other challenges faced by the Trust.
While appreciating the services of the Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust, Prime Minister stated that the institution’s efforts to promote the teaching of the Holy Quran and its recitation with proper Tajweed were commendable.
He assured that the government would take all possible measures to resolve the Trust’s financial difficulties and other issues.
