Another three Kashmiri youth martyred, fifteen in last five days

SRINAGAR: Continuing their massacre of Kashmiris, Indian forces have killed another three Kashmiri youth, taking the toll to 15 during the past five days.

Reports received from the areas said the killings took place when a joint team of Police and army’s 55 RR launched cordon and search operation in Melhora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, of the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter, Indian forces claimed.

In short statement on twitter, police spokesman claimed that ‘’all 3 militants are killed, 2 civilians and 2 army personnel are injured’’.

Three militants were killed in an overnight operation by Indian government forces Zainpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, two of them being gunned down on Wednesday morning, officials said.

The first militant was martyred on Tuesday when a gunfight broke out between the militants and the forces at Melhora in the district’s Zainapora area, Indian forces said.

Defence spokesman Rajesh Kalia also confirmed the killing of three militants.

Earlier, officials said that on specific inputs about the presence of militants, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area on Tuesday by joint team of forces including 55 RR and Shopian Police.

Yesterday two civilians were also injured at the alleged encounter site when Indian occupation forces fired indiscriminately towards the people who were present in the area.

The identification of slain youth was not known immediately, however, the injured woman has been identified as Shahnaz Bano who received bullet injury in both of her legs.

It is pertinently to mention that it has been 5th encounter in past five days in which fifteen Kashmiris have been martyred.
