Another worst day for Pakistan with 105 deaths; 4,646 infections reported in last 24 hrs

ISLAMABAD: Another worst ever day for Pakistan as 105 new deaths of COVID-19 were reported during last 24 hours besides 4.646 new coronavirus infections were reported round the country.

With rapid surge of 105 deaths in a day the overall death toll jumped to 2,172. 4,646 new infection cases were reported in last 24 hours which took the infections toll to 108,317 cases all over Pakistan.

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed 108.317 coronavirus infections in the country as it reported 2,172 deaths due to COVID-19.

According to province break-up given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC Punjab is at top of the list as worst-hit province by the coronavirus pandemic with 40,819 confirmed cases the highest number along with 773 fatalities, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 730,453 coronavirus tests and 24,620 in last 24 hours. 35,018 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Coronavirus epidemic patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.

According to latest figure displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on June 09, Tuesday 9:30am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 108,317 infections show that Punjab is at top of the infections list with 40,819 coronavirus cases followed by Sindh with.39,555 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have crossed 14,006 confirmed infections, in Balochistan toll surged to 6,788, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 952 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 5,785 and 412 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 2,172 deaths reported in the country. Punjab is at top of the list of confirmed deaths with 773 as Sindh with 679 deaths at Nnumber two. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa death toll surged to 587 and the province has shown a little decline in fatalities. Balochistan 54 Gilgit-Baltistan 14, Islamabad Capital Territory 52 and AJK 9.
