ISLAMABAD: Another worst day witnessed in Pakistan as 5.834 new coronavirus infections were reported in last 24 hours in the country besides 101 new deaths in the time.
With 5,834 new cases reported in last 24 hours the toll of infections jumped to 119,536 cases while the death toll with 101 new deaths surged to 2,356.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed 119.536 coronavirus infections in the country as well it reported 2,356 deaths due to COVID-19. Two provinces of the country crossed the 40,000 toll of infections including Punjab 45,463 and Sindh 43,790 infections, which rang a;arm for the policy planners of the country.
According to province break-up given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC Punjab is at top of the list as worst-hit province by the coronavirus pandemic with 45,463 confirmed cases the highest number along with 841 fatalities, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 780,825 coronavirus tests and 26,573 in last 24 hours. 38,391 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Coronavirus epidemic patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on June 11, Thursday 9:45am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 119,536 infections show that Punjab is at top of the infections list with 45,463 coronavirus cases followed by Sindh with.43,790 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have crossed 15,206 confirmed infections, in Balochistan toll surged to 7,335, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 1,018 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 6,236 and 488 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 2,356 deaths reported in the country. Punjab is at top of the list of confirmed deaths with 841 as Sindh with 738 deaths at number two. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa death toll surged to 619 and the province has shown a little decline in fatalities. Balochistan 73 Gilgit-Baltistan 14, Islamabad Capital Territory 62 and AJK 9.
