ISLAMABAD: Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain, the central president of All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association (APPSCA), expressed serious concerns over the neglect of the private education sector in the Federal budget for the fiscal year 2024-25.
He Demanded that it is very sad not to give relief in the budget to the private education sector, which has helped the government in equipping crores of children of Pakistan with the best education.
In the budget, there was no mention of relief to the religious madrassas, while the salaries of government employees should have been increased in proportion to the inflation.
In his statement issued here, Malik Abrar Hussain completely rejected the budget 2024-25.He said that by neglecting private education in the budget, the current government has given evidence of anti-educationFrom which the private education sector is particularly concerned.
Malik Abrar Hussain further said that no relief was given to religious schools in the budget, nor was money allocated for their development and improvement.Which is causing disappointment in the religious community as well.
The government should have allocated a good amount of money for religious madrasas which provide free food, accommodation and religious education to millions of children. But unfortunately it didn’t happen.
The budget shows the incompetence of the imported finance minister.
Malik Abrar Hussain also severely criticized the 25% increase in salaries of government employees and said that On the contrary, after tax deduction, this increase will be counted as a decrease.
He demanded that the salaries of government employees should be increased in proportion to inflation.
He said that due to property tax, this pvt sector will also sit down and the employment of a few people will also end.
The government should take into account all the aspects while making the budget and create a truly people-friendly budget.
