Indian forces continued intense firing across several sectors of Line of Control (LoC) the temporary border that divides Jammu and Kashmir into two parts.
The visuals from the area circulating through various social media showed heavy fire causing several casualties in different areas of Azad Jummu and Kashmir.
Armed forces of Pakistan have been on high alert along the Line of Control (LoC) and ready for any eventuality, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy are also on high alert, it added.
The ISPR said on Thursday in a statement on Thursday said during the last 48 hours, Indian troops have resorted to increased ceasefire violations in Kotli, Khuiratta and Tatta Pani Sectors along LoC, Pakistan Army troops have been responding effectively.
Citizens were also advised not to believe on rumours that are making rounds on the social media about martyrdom of four Pakistani citizens and injuries to two others.
The soaring tensions reached a new height between the two neighboring countries as two fighter jets of Indian Air Force were shot down by Pakistan Air Force in bright day light on Wednesday.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said the military action from Pakistan was a demonstration of its defense capability as a reaction towards violation of Line of Control by Indian fighter jets on Feb 26.
