ISLAMABAD: An armed man who was arrested from Chowk Yateem Khana in Lahore on Tuesday has made startling revelations on Wednesday, sources said.
When arrested, the accused was armed with a pistol and wanted to attack Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad.
According to the sources in the police investigation, the accused is an activist of banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and was arrested by the police from Chowk Yateem Khana on Tuesday.
The accused came from his house fully prepared to take part in the long march and was in a rage against Sheikh Rasheed over torture on the TLP activists. He was also angry over the non-fulfillment of a number of promises made with the TLP.
The police have registered a case against the accused for keeping illegal weapon. The case was registered at Nawankot Police Station of Lahore.
