KARACHI: Arshad Malik, suspended CEO of national carrier PIA has knocked the doors of Supreme Court of Pakistan against the Sindh High Court judgement stopping him from functions as the airline’s chief executive officer.
Air Marshal Arshad Malik has filed petition in the Apex Court against interim orders of the SHC while federal government, cabinet division, ministry pertaining to civil aviation have been made respondent in the petition.
In his petition he contended that he has been appointed as interim in the PIA for its restoration and lowering down its deficits adding that the SHC has stopped him fulfilling his duties without any legal authority.
He argued that the affairs in the national carrier has become paralyzed after stopping him from fulfilling the responsibilities.
He prayed that court to declare the SHC verdict as null and void.
