“I apologise to the nation for the decision to grant an extension to General Bajwa. It was a mistake that we deeply regret,” said Qaiser, reflecting on the political implications of the move.

The PTI leader admitted that granting an extension to General Bajwa was a “big mistake” that backfired on the party. He acknowledged that the decision hurt the party’s image and apologised for the error.

He also hinted at peaceful protests if PTI founder Imran Khan’s case is referred to a military court. Furthermore, he suggested that the matter could be taken to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), implying that international legal avenues might be explored if the case is handled by a military tribunal.

Asad Qaiser also expressed his disapproval of extending the tenure of Supreme Court Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, stating that it would not be acceptable.
