ISLAMABAD: In a phone call on Saturday, former President Asif Ali Zardari convinced former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif of lending support to bring about an in-house change.
According to sources privy to latest political development, both opposition parties have agreed to use every option to overthrow the government and to maintain the alliance under all circumstances.
According to the PPP, former President Asif Ali Zardari is confident of an in-house change, for which he contacted former PM Nawaz Sharif. PML-N has pledged its full support to the PPP’s in-house change.
Sources said that the PDM could use the options of in-house change, resignations, long march and sit-in. Once the Senate election concludes, PDM leadership will sit down to discuss these options. According to PPP, the party will use the option of in-house change before the long march. If it attains the required numbers to bring about in-house change, PDM will support it, while also contacting disgruntled PTI leaders to increase the pressure on the government.
PPP has also given conditional agreement to the option of resignations in case the attempt of in-house change does not succeed. However, exercising the option of resignations on the occasion of the Long March will depend on the public reaction.
