PARIS: Miguel Angel Gil Marin, the CEO of Atletico Madrid , is in Paris to negotiate with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Edinson Cavani is Atleti’s main target this transfer window.
Gil Marin will be meeting with PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi to try to secure the green light.
Gil Marin is trying to change the club’s position, after sporting director Leonardo said “no” to the transfer due to the belief that Edinson Cavani can still play a role for PSG in the second half of the season and also the desire to not strengthen a direct rival for the Champions League.
After the departure of Atletico Madrid’s star player Antione Griezmann, Atletico are seriously disturbed of their star player absence. So, in 2019 summer transfer window they went for Portuguese international forward Jaoa Felix but inspite of getting Jaoa Felix for $130m they haven’t found the rhythm so in the present transfer window they are urging for Uruguay International and French football club PSG forward Edinson Cavani.
Simeone the Atletico’s Manager believes that in the shape of Edinson, they will find their winning and competing in the league form back and fans can find their star player in the shape of Edinson.
Edinson has not been in his form yet in the on-going season. He has played 9 matches for PSG and could surpass the keeper only two times.
