Bahria Town provides relief package to NPC

ISLAMABAD: Bahria Town on Saturday distributed an emergency relief package to the employees of the National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad.

Bahria Town said it was informed by the management of NPC that salaries of their employees were delayed due to ongoing crisis in the media industry. Covid-19 pandemic has further aggravated the situation.

Taking account of the situation, Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz, Chief Executive Ali Muhammad Riaz and Country Head Shahid Mahmood Qureshi announced an emergency relief package.

Country Head Bahria Town Shahid Mahmood Qureshi asked General Manager Finance to immediately reach out to NPC administration.

In compliance a team comprising Shahid Mahmood, Waseem Kayani, Rana Zeeshan, Rana Salman and others distributed relief package to the NPC employees on behalf of Bahria Town.

They also and assured NPC management of further help in future.

According to NPC, media industry in Pakistan has been going through worst crisis of its history. Hundreds of media workers have been left unemployed during the last two years.

Many media houses have closed their businesses. In many others, salaries are delayed for months.
