Bid to smuggle 2kg drugs worth millions to Qatar foiled, accused held

SIALKOT: The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled a bid to smuggle two kilogram narcotics worth million of rupees to Qatar and arrested an accused here on Saturday.

According to details, during search of baggage of a passenger identified as Haji Muhammad hailing from district Swabi at Sialkot international airport, drugs including one kilogram hashish hidden in shoes and one kilogram ice heroin concealed in secret cavities of his bag were recovered.

The ASF seized the recovered drugs worth million of rupees in international market, offloaded and arrested the accused leaving for Qatar through a private line airline flight.

The detainee was later handed over to Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) along with seized drugs which after registering a case against him started an investigation.
