PESHAWAR: The police foiled a bid to smuggle 37 kilogram narcotics to Punjab, impounded a car and arrested a drugs pusher. During snap checking of vehicles in Chamkani area of Peshawar, the police stopped a suspected car.
During the suspected vehicle’s search, 37 kilogram narcotics including 18 kilogram hashish and 19 kilogram opium concealed in secret cavities of vehicle were recovered.
The recovered drugs were being smuggled to Punjab. The police confiscated the drugs, impounded the car and arrested the drugs pusher who was being interrogated after registering a case against him. (INP)
