Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, he said, “Pakistan is ready for dialogue. The Indian people also want peace in the region.”

He condemned India’s unauthorised strikes within Pakistani territory. “I am here to present Pakistan’s stance regarding the recent tensions with India. On 7 May this year, India conducted illegal strikes inside Pakistan.”

He said that these actions were in violation of the United Nations Charter and international law, adding that civilian infrastructure had been targeted.

“Religious sites were targeted. Dams, innocent civilians and children were attacked—many of whom lost their lives,” he said.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had criticised the Modi government, saying, “Modi’s administration is violating human rights.”

He appealed to the international community to issue a warning to India and urge them to prevent the situation from deteriorating further.
