Blast Near Islamabad Courthouse Leaves Several Injured

ISLAMABAD: A blast occurred near the main gate of the G-11 Islamabad Courthouse on Tuesday, prompting emergency measures at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.

Emergency services at the hospital were immediately activated, and injured individuals were transported from the site by Rescue 1122, ambulances, and police vehicles. So far, more than a dozen people, including several in serious condition, have been admitted to PIMS.

A heavy contingent of police personnel has also reached the hospital, while the Islamabad Inspector General of Police and the Chief Commissioner visited the blast site.

According to initial reports, the explosion took place in a parked vehicle on the service road near the courthouse gate. Police sources confirmed that at least three people near the vehicle were injured in the explosion.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and security has been tightened in and around the area.
