British government wants Premier League back ‘as soon as possible’

LONDON: British government’s cabinet minister responsible for sports has said he has been in talks with the Premier League to get football back on the field as quickly as possible.

Speaking at a parliamentary questions session, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said: “I have been in talks with the Premier League to get football up and run as soon as possible to support the whole football community.

Plans to resume the Premier League season will step up this week. It’s being called “Project Restart”, reported BBC.
