LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has made Okara Deputy Commissioner and Depalpur Assistant Commissioner (City) as OSDs (officers on special duty) after he found a shortage of ghee and sugar at Sasta bazaars.
Okara Assistant Deputy Commissioner Revenue has been given additional charge of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Okara till further orders.
Mr. Aurangzaib has been appointed as AC City Depalpur after the chief minister found the cleanliness measures in the city unsatisfactory.
In a surprise visit to Okara and Depalpur, Usman Buzdar visited the Sasta bazaars. He talked to local people and upon the public complaints, he took action against the district administration.
The Punjab chief minister was also not happy to see the dilapidated condition of the Okara-Depalpur Road. He expressed his displeasure to the Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) in this regard.
Buzdar warned the bureaucracy to get rid of so-called comfort and dedicate themselves to public service only. “I will not tolerate any negligence in public service delivery,” Usman Buzdar declared during his visit to Okara. (With input from INP)
