ISLAMABAD: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has resumed all types of flight operation from midnight of August 9, as Pakistan’s coronavirus situation continues to improve with every passing day.
The Authority has niotified all airlines operating in the country accordingly to resume their flight operation.
A notice issued by the Authority stated the international flight operation is being resumed at all airports, starting from midnight, August 9.
It is to be noted that in view of the coronavirus pandemic, Pakistan had suspended all international flights on March 21 and domestic flights on March 26.
Now, domestic inbound and outbound flights will be resumed and international travel will be carried out in accordance with the set guidelines. In addition, international cargo and special flight operations will also be resumed under defined SOPs.
Another notice issued by the CAA states that local passengers will be allowed to travel to and from all airports. This came after yesterday’s announcement that local flights from all airports of the country would be resumed from noon, August 6.
