LAHORE: Difference of Chaudhrys’ of Gujrat became public as two elders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have decided to separate politically as Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) divided over political issues.
In this regard, the sources said that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Salik Hussain have openly sided with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), while Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi and Chaudhry Hussain Elahi will remain allies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Sources further said that due to the escalation of family differences the party leardership diverted paths on political matters.
For the first time, the two elders of the family have acknowledged their separate political paths, with a final decision expected soon due to increasing distances.
Meanwhile, Hussain Elahi is abroad and the big decision will be made as soon as he returns home. Two out of three MNAs in the house are PTI supporters.
