Chief Minister Sets Up Anti-land Grabbing Cells At District Level

LAHORE : In line with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Anti-Land Grabbing Cells have been set up in all districts of the province in order to ensure promptly redressal of complaints of the citizens.

The cells would be headed by grade-18 officers who shall be responsible to get the complaint against illegal occupation of land verified immediately and take lawful cognizance of the complaint. All actions shall be carried out by the Cell promptly to ensure redressal of complaint.

A spokesman to the Punjab government said on Saturday that all administrative departments, autonomous bodies, development authorities and police department shall provide complete support to the district Anti-Land Grabbing Cell so that effective action could be taken against Qabza Mafia and grievances of the citizens could be addressed promptly.

He that all divisional commissioners shall submit a consolidated monthly report of the districts on the prescribed format in the office of Director Complaints, Chief Minister’s Office Lahore.

The spokesman further stated that in order to oversee and monitor the district-based cells, a provincial Anti-Land Grabbing Cells has been established in the Chief Minister’s Office. Director Complaints CM Office would be a focal person of the cell.(INP)
