LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Monday that Punjab government will establish first cancer hospital in Lahore’s Valencia Town.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the proposed site of the cancer hospital near Valencia Town where she was briefed about the site of the healthcare facility.
Maryam issued direction for inviting the best specialized doctors from around the world for the proposed cancer hospital. She also issued instructions for building of a hotel for people attending the cancer patients.
Speaking on the occasion of during her visit, CM Maryam said a government hospital will be built in Punjab for the treatment of cancer patients.
She said cancer patients will be treated free of cost in the first government hospital of Punjab. She said highly qualified best doctors and state-of-the-art latest machinery will be available in the healthcare facility.
On this occasion, former senator Pervez Rasheed, members of assembly Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Sania Ashiq and Dr Adnan were also with Maryam Nawaz.
Punjab chief secretary, SMBOR, C&W and cooperative secretaries, Lahore DC and commissioner and other relevant officials were also present on this occasion along with Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz.
