RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Wednesday said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa will meet the families of martyrs and ghazis on Pakistan’s Defence Day.
The DG ISPR addressed a conference regarding the Defence and Martyrs Day which was attended by civil and military representatives from across the country, and told that the main ceremony will be held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on September 6 in the daytime instead of evening.
Major General Asif Ghafoor maintained that the program to visit the home of every martyr was initiated last year and will be continued as the response was very good.
He urged people to display pictures of the martyrs in streets and residential areas, and express gratitude by visiting their families. (INP)
