ISLAMABAD: The coronavirus pandemic confirmed infections have topped the figure of 60,074 on Wednesday evening while nation-wide death toll due to COVID-19 reached to 1,240.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed that 60,074 infections of the COVID-19 round the country with 1,240 fatalities.
Sindh is still the worst-hit province by the coronavirus pandemic as it has crossed the toll of 24,206 confirmed cases the highest number along side with 380 fatalities, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan is about to cross the half a million tests of the coronavirus epidemic as so far conducted 499,399 tests were conducted out of which 8,491 in last 24 hours. 19,142 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition.
Patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on May 27, Wednesday 06:55pm, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 60,074 infections. Sindh jumped to 24,206 toll of coronavirus cases followed by Punjab with 21,118 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have reached to 8,483, in Balochistan toll surged to 3,536, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 638 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 1,879 and 214 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 1,240 deaths reported in the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on top of the fatalities list with 425 deaths while Sindh at number 2 with 380 deaths, Punjab stands with 362 fatalities, Balochistan 42, Gilgit-Baltisan 9, Islamabad Capital Territory 18 and AJK 4.
