Cop awarded for helping disabled person

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar has awarded a traffic constable for helping a disabled man climb a wall in Islamabad at Kashmir Highway. 

Police spokesman said on Tuesday that a constable of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) Amir Baig was performing duty on Kashmir highway when he helped a disabled person climb a wall.

The video of this gesture went viral on social media and IGP Islamabad awarded cash prize of Rs10,000 and a certificate to the policeman for helping the person.

The IGP said that such kind acts should be adopted by all as it gave satisfaction to the people.

Amir Zulfiqar said that this gesture had earned great respect for the Islamabad police and all should follow it. (With additional input from INP)
