ISLAMABAD: Second wave of coronavirus pendemic across the Pakistan took an ugly turn as number of deaths and infections is increasing alarmingly. The flacuation seen in daily deaths and infections sound difficult and people looks not paying heed to calls.
During last 24 hours COVID-19 claimed 111 more lives across the Pakistan while 2,256 people were tested positive to coronavirus pandemic.
New coronavirus pandemic infections were reported 2,256 in 24 hours and 111 new deaths have been confirmed on Wednesday. With 2,256 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 465,070 cases and with 111 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 9,668 deaths on Thursday.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC on Monday confirmed the death of 111 more people during last 24 hours besies reported that 2,256 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 207,407 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
Till now 207,407 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 133,874 in Punjab 56,160 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 36,721 in Islamabad, 18,005 in Balochistan, 8,065 in Azad Kashmir and 4,838 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 9,668 out of that 3,783 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,419 in Sindh, 1,577 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 398 in Islamabad, 211 in Azad Kashmir, 181 in Balochistan, and 99 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 6,428,240 coronavirus tests and 37,173 in the last 24 hours. 417,134 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,361 patients are in critical condition.
