ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic continued killing people across the globe amid efforts to contain this killer virus and COVID-19 killed 32 more people in Pakistan while 1,114 more people were tested positive of the virus during last 24 hours.
With the 1,114 new coronavirus cases confirmed during last 24 hours the toll of COVID-19 cases surged to 277,402 while with 32 new deaths confirmed the nation-wide tally of fatalities has jumped to 5,924.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed that 1,114 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours and 32 more people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in the country.
According to figures released on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC at 10:00am on Thursday July 30, the toll of coronavirus positive cases reached to 277,402 and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of infections with 120,052 cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
The figure shows that 120,052 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 92,655 in Punjab, 33,845 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,708 in Balochistan, 14,987 in Islamabad 2,090 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,065 in Azad Kashmir.
As far the death toll in concerned the figures shows overall 5,924 deaths were reported in the country as Sindh crossed the toll of deaths in Punjab. 2,189 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in the province, 2,138 in Punjab, 1,192 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 136 in Balochistan, 165 in Islamabad, 53 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 51 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 1,952,730 coronavirus tests and 21,628 in last 24 hours. 246,131 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,179 patients are in critical condition.
