ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus second wave during last 24 hours claimed 46 more lives in Pakistan and 3,097 people were tested positive during last 24 hours.
During last 24 hours nationwide figure of the pandemic reported was 46 deaths and 3,097 people were tested positive to COVID-19.
3,097 new coronavirus epidemic infections were reported during last 24 hours and 46 new deaths have been confirmed. With 3,097 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 511,921 cases and with 46 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 10,818 deaths on Thursday.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 46 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 3,097 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 230,718 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far 230,718 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 147,292 in Punjab 62,377 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 39,624 in Islamabad, 18,488 in Balochistan, 8,540 in Azad Kashmir and 4,882 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 10,818 out of that 4,348 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,744 in Sindh, 1,752 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 449 in Islamabad, 236 in Azad Kashmir, 188 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,243,650 coronavirus tests and 41,574 in the last 24 hours. 467,234 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,410 patients are in critical condition.
