Coronavirus claims six more lives in Pakistan, 467 new cases reported in 24 hrs

ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic has claimed six more lives besides 467 more people were tested positive across the country during last 24 hours.
With the 467 new coronavirus cases confirmed during last 24 hours, the toll of COVID-19 infections jumped to 315,727 while with six new deaths confirmed the nation-wide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,523.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed that 467 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours and six more people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in the country.
According to figures released on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 06, the toll of coronavirus positive cases reached to 315,727 and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of infections with 138,593 cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
The figure shows that 138,593 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 100,033 in Punjab, 38,105 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,420 in Balochistan, 16,845 in Islamabad, 3,857 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,874 in Azad Kashmir.
As far the death toll in concerned the figures shows overall 6,523 deaths were reported in the country as Sindh crossed the toll of deaths in Punjab. 2,523 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in the province, 2,243 in Punjab, 1,262 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 146 in Balochistan, 184 in Islamabad, 89 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 76 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 3,702,607 coronavirus tests and 28,280 in last 24 hours. 300,616 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 516 patients are in  critical condition.
